Google Checkout does not work like most payment options in AShop. Because Google requires that the checkout procedure of the shopping cart is completely bypassed and replaced with their checkout pages instead, your customers will need to click the Google Checkout buttons displayed on your shopping cart pages to use this payment method, instead of using AShop's Checkout button.

 

Google Checkout Account Settings

To use Google Checkout with your AShop you first need to login to your Google Checkout account and modify a few options.

 

1.Login to your account and click "Settings" in the top menu.
 
2.Click "Integration" in the left menu.
 
3.Set the API callback URL to the URL where your AShop googleco.php script is located, for example: http://www.myashopcart.com/googleco.php
 
4.Set the Callback contents option to "Notification Serial Number".

 

5. Set the API Version option to "Version 2.0".

 

6.Take note of the Google merchant ID and Google merchant key listed to the right on this page.

 

 

AShop Settings

 

1.Open the Administration Panel, select Configuration, and then Payment.

 

2.Click on the drop-down Payment Gateway box, select Google Checkout and click Add.

 

3.Enter your Google merchant ID in the box labeled "Merchant ID".

 

4.Enter your Google merchant key in the box labeled "Security Secret".

 

5.Click the "Update" button to save the changes you made.
