Member shop categories are different and separate from product categories. If the Member Catalogs option is checked in Shop Parameters so that each member has an individual catalog, the mall.php script will display a directory of member shops. The directory will include a listing of shop categories.
Create and Edit Shop Categories
When logged in as administrator (ashopadmin) navigate to Store Configuration > Shop Parameters > Shop Categories.
